Modern Trench Coat

Whenever I think about trench coats, I think about soldiers in WW1. Actually that’s where trench coats first originated. But trench coats have come a long way since then. And the vintage double breasted trench has branched off into a variety of styles. And so the tie-waist duster was born.

I’ve been searching for ages for the perfect trench coat. And by gosh I think I’ve found it in this black & white number from In Style Wear

I mean what’s not to love? It combines one of my favorite neutrals, with my favorite print. Another fun thing about this jacket is that it isn’t overwhelmingly long, so it’s a great choice for you petite babes also. The jacket came with a thick banded belt that can be used to create a great shape, goodbye baggy jackets, there’s a new queen bee in town.

- Pro Tip -

If you want to wear this jacket untied you can tie it in the back as I did here to accentuate your waist.
