Y’all after what seemed like the longest winter ever (it was still snowing in early April), we have finally reached Spring here in New York. And with the cherry blossoms🌸, the chirping birds, and the green grass, in rolled all of the summer trends that I just can’t get enough of; vibrant patterns, pastel florals, mules with fun cut-out details. I am LOVING everything that is happening for Spring 2019 style.
Here’s a round up of some of my favs thus far.
🐦🌳🌼🕶️☀️☔🌈
Menswear
Ladies, how excited are we that the “boyfriend” trend has continued on this season. My husband can attest that I live in his clothes, far more than my own, so I for one am HERE FOR IT. These trousers from twenty-third & fifth offer a modernized take on the trend. With a cropped hem and tailored style, these corduroy pants prove that this trend isn’t just for the boys.
Bright Colors
Yes. You read that correctly. I am loving the bright colors that are everywhere and anywhere this spring. If you’ve been following me for a hot-minute, you’ll know that I am a neutrals gal at heart. But, when everyone from Beyoncé to Kendall Jenner have sported the neon color trend this season, you have to get on board. This striped shirt from Sunscape Boutique was the perfect place for me to start. The tie-waist feature makes it perfect to style with high-waist jeans, flares, or even layer on top of a bathing suit👙.

Maxi Dresses
This is the trend that just keeps on giving. The maxi dress trend continues to evolve year after year, but one thing is for sure, I just can’t get enough of this flour-grazing style. I love the nautical vibe that this maxi from The Hayloft gives. The slit and off-the-shoulder accents are also so fun.
🐦🌳🌼🕶️☀️☔🌈
Lace Kimonos

Kimonos AKA the spring/summer version of a cardigan, have gotten a chic upgrade this season. To be completely honest, you could put lace on ANYTHING and I’d adore it. But this muted sage Kimono from The Vintage Belle, has me swooning. Another huge plus to kimonos is that you can very easily dress them up or down, they look just as fabulous with a tank and jeans going to the beach, as with a fun shift dress for date night.
Leopard, Leopard, Leopard
🐆

Oh. My. Gosh, I am loving everything and anything leopard right now. But, whereas leopard is usually a trend that dominates the cooler months of the year. I'm obsessed with the fun spring options coming in leopard this season. You guys loved these rad leopard wedges from Triple Blessed Boutique, and I couldn’t agree more. They are so comfortable, and I love that they add a bit of height and make my legs look a mile long without having to attempt to walk in stilettos👠.
The LBD
I'm here to set the record straight. You CAN wear black in the spring. I love a good LBD and one of the great things about them is that you can wear them all year long. My tip for styling LBD’s for spring/summer is to add pastel accessories. A fun pair of blush wedges and a great LBD that looks so chic and polished. I was immediately drawn to this LBD from Cindy Karen because it has features that are really universally flattering like the wrap-front bust detailing, and A-line skirt.

Utility Jackets
In NY it's a MUST to wear layers when transitioning into spring. One day you’ll leave the house and it'll be 60° and the sun will be shining, you’ll come home to it being 30° and snowing (I'm not even kidding this happened last week). Fun fact, I actually own more jackets than anything else in my closet. I love that this season’s hot trend for spring in outerwear is utility jackets, the sage color can be styled like a neutral, but adds a subtle pop of color to any look. I love this one from Bliss Boutique because it has some edgy distressing on the pockets, and the tie-waist feature allows me to draw the attention to my waist, and create a flattering shape in any look.
Best wishes and Happy SPRING💋
